I saw Lyle at Wolftrap about 12-13 years ago. Great show.
As I've gotten older my musical tastes have evolved towards music like Lyle's quite a bit.

Mine were always kinda there. I put Lyle and Tom Waits in the same category: quirky musical genius.

I saw Lovett 6 or 7 years ago opening up for Bonnie Raitt. He was terrific, she was adequate. In fact, the best part of her set was when he came on to do a few numbers with her.
