In a night usually reserved for revelry, a horrified crowd looked on as Elton John, sporting a huge pink head dress, threatened to jump from a Times Square building unless he was given "the attention he deserved."

BADLI, WOULD YOU LIKE TO EXPLAIN HOW STANDING IN THE STREET (WHICH COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING) IS GOING TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE TSUNAMI VICTIMS?

WOULD YOU REALLY EXPECT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE ONE MILLION PEOPLE TO SIT IN THEIR HOMES ALONE WATCHING CNN'S COVERAGE OF THE TRAGEDY?

HOW DOES THAT HELP ANYONE?

YOU NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP....TRY YOUR LOCAL CHAPTER OF "PEST" UNLIMITED!!!!!!!!!!

Maggie, some people are only happy with complete equality, i.e. they are only happy when everyone is equally miserable. Their preference would be for us all to sit at home and wring our hands at every little thing that went wrong, instead of to go out and celebrate life. Of course, that would only depress our economy and lessen our ability to pour out support to others in needs. We've committed I believe $350 Million now as a country and as Jen points out over $100 Million privately.

This was not really a contest in as much as I don't think its that good a contest picture. That hasn't really stopped me from captioning in the past either, so have at it if you want, but this one is not planned on being judged.

Taking offense at Badli's complete lack of a sense of humor, other OTB readers strap fireworks on him and chain him to the top of the neon billoard stack at Times Square, with the timer set to midnight. Onlookers below cheer the results.
