Mark Jaquith is doing some major changes to the back end that should improve the site’s performance considerably. It might be a bit wonky for the next day or two, though. My apologies for the inconvenience.
About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and infant daughter.

Thanks for the heads up! I was wondering why I had been banned from the site....I know some of my captions are substandard but yeeks that was extreme measure to take.

To be honest with you, throughout all the problems you've had I've not had a bit of difficulty accessing the site. I don't know if I'm just visiting at all the right times or what, but I haven't noticed a thing.
