In fact, the Patriot Act passed the U.S. Senate by a margin of, get this, 98 to 1 - ahhh- The 'ol "Don't vote for Bush because we are stupid" line of attack. Like Kennedy wanting to vote again on Iraq because the Dems did not know what they were voting on the first time. Somehow "vote for us we were too dumb to know what was going on" is not the campaign slogan I would choose.
