Photos That Make You Feel Old

At 44, I’m under no illusions that I’m still a young man.  Still, I forget how young I used to be until I see old pictures like these.

This is me in my Army Dress Blues, either late 1988 or early 1989, taken while I was attending the Field Artillery Officers Basic Course in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  I had yet to receive the "Rainbow Ribbon" for graduting nor attended the Airborne course.

This is me as a 2nd Lieutenant, taken well after our return to Babenhausen, Germany from Operation Desert Storm in April 1991.  It was several months before the ceremony awarding our Bronze Stars, even though they were dated April 29.
