And true on Reagan. The acting fame carried him to the governorship of California in the 1960s.  I don&#039;t think it was much of a factor by the time he successfully ran for president in 1980.</description>

		<description>At this point I don&#039;t think former drug abuse will be much of a factor - there are too many people (read: voters) out there who&#039;ve used themselves. The fact that he&#039;s been clean for so many years is in his favor, I think.</description>
