Quote of the Day – Socialized Car Company Edition
“What’s another example of an organization that gets into the same business that you’re in, except that their guys have got guns? That would be the Mob. Ford is like the last honest trash collector in the New York metropolitan area, the last one that’s not mobbed-up. How long is that gonna go on for?”

I expect Ford to do well in this environment. As the last honest car manufacturer it will endear itself to Americans while GM and Chrysler have lost any luster they once had.
It's now baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and Ford.
More than endearing...I think Ford just makes great cars. I've had nothing but good experiences with them and their new lines and increasing hybrid offering will keep them quite competitive. I hope.
Not long. GM can't afford to be beaten. Obama's reputation is on the line. As such whatever is needed to ensure success will be done and at the expense Ford and any other competitor.
Seriously, when the Hell did you hear a politician say, "I made a mistake and that was a bad policy"? I'm going to hazard a guess: never.

Well, at least it is implied whenever a politician switches parties. Not that it isn't still done for self serving reasons.
I was always an Oldsmobile/Pontiac/Buick person for cars. Purchased FORD pickups.
From this point forward, the only American vehicle I will purchase will be a FORD.
No more GM products. Never been in and will not enter a Chrysler dealership.
