As a center righty and not a big fan of Dems, I have to say this article does take a giant leap forward that I don't see with the Dems. Not a great piece of journalism and no respecting Repub. should try to use this garbage to their advantage. On the other hand, if the drum beat starts, it would be devastating to the Dems.

It also overlooks one of the oldest reasons people have opposed the Iraq war while supporting the Afghanistan operation: Al Qaeda attacked us on 9/11, Al Qaeda was harbored by the Taliban in Afghanistan, Al Qaeda (and possibly Osama bin Laden) are still in or near Afghanistan.

Iraq had nothing to do with Al Qaeda until after we removed Saddam's government. Even the President admits that now (though strangely not the VP).
