In a world where volcanoes may be detonated with population volition, the paranoia of the oil industry which 'Get-Away' Robertson most naturally champions is reflected in both the published comments and in day-to-day dealings with industry soldiers-of-fortune.

So, you ACLU types think we should not have the ability to assassinate our enemies. The ACLU has been making it safe for the criminal element for 65 years. America is a much more dangerous place because of these weak kneed liberals. They have clearly brain washed the younger generation.

It was Gerald Ford who made it illegal to assassinate our enemies by presidential directive. So... the ACLU and Gerald (opps I bumped my head again) Ford are your fellow travelers. UGH!

From a Christian perspective most, peace-niks usually use Jesus to say we should not assassinate our enemies. Jesus' mission was to live a perfect life and give Himself as a perfect sacrifice for our sin. While He did preach some theology He left the nuts and bolts of theology to the Apostles.

Looking at the book of Romans we see government was not given the sword for nothing. We also see the biblical mandate for government is to punish those who do evil and reward those who do good. Under this mandate it is permissible to assassinate our enemies who do evil. Chavez is not a minor inconvenience. He is spreading communist revolution through out South America. He is also trying to control the drug trade as a cash cow for him.

The left has never met a communist they didn't love. Don't mistake that love for biblical Christianity.

At least Robertson is not invited to sit with former presidents at the Republican Convention.

Who cares about former Presidents? He has been a consistent advisor to the sitting President--Bush since his first campaign when Bush went begging for support at Robertson's Oct. 1999 "Road to Victory" conference. There is ample evidence that Robertson and Bush discuss foreign policy regularly. Bush even met with him during the busy weeks before the invasion of Iraq.

To tag Robertson as an "extremist" ignores the fact that he has comparatively initmate access to the White House.

Getting it from both sides

The Left is at its most exercised when it is reacting to the Right's values. The Right is at its most exercised when it is defending its own values.
