Rumsfeld Bible Quotes
Apparently, a lot of people who use Yahoo! are searching for “Rumsfeld bible quotes” today.
This rather odd happenstance is apparently a function of a story that circulated earlier in the week about Rumsfeld putting bible verses on the cover sheets of “Worldwide Intelligence Updates” intended for President Bush. Apparently, the story is largely untrue.

The fact is, somebody put those stupid cover sheets on it (IIRC, the assistant blamed some other defense officials). Whether it was Rumsfeld or somebody else, it was completely inappropriate.

One account I read said they initially put jokes on them and then started with the Bible verses during the war. They apparently were mostly for internal consumption, unlike the Presidential Daily Brief.
Another lie making half way around the world before the truth gets it's boots on. Sure seems like a lot of these concerning the Bush Administration.

Dude, you might want to actually read the article from GQ (or, for that matter, the articles you linked to). The author of the piece never claimed that Rummy put Bible verses on the updates.
So, the brief covers really exist and were disseminated, right?
Any the rebuttal is Rumsfeld's former aide and current spokesperson? Really?
