Sad News in the Blogosphere
My blog reading has been light the last few days, owing to the Reagan funeral and the three-day weekend. I missed the news that Matthew Yglesias, one of the few big name bloggers that I actually know, is dealing with the rapidly declining health of his mother. That’s a crappy enough thing to deal with in due time, let alone when you’ve just turned 23.
Best wishes to Matt and his family during these trying times.

I wish him the best. I know from experience that losing one's mother is quite possible the hardest thing to live through. I lost my mother while in high school at the age of 17.
