OTOH, the 9/11 terrorists had no problem assimilating into our culture, frequenting topless bars and enjoying all the freedoms we Americans enjoy only to commit suicide while murdering hundreds of people.

I agree with you that it's difficult to believe that muslims who emigrate to America to escape the tyrannies of their homelands would be unlikely to participate in terrorism. The problem is, we don't know who's emigrated for personal reasons and who's here on a mission.

<!--%kramer-pre%-->. While al-Qaida cells undoubtedly exist in the United States, there are certainly far fewer than in Europe where Muslim minorities stick to their deprived suburbs on the edge of major cities. My emphasis. It certainly doesn’t seem like the network of Wahabist mosque funders has gotten its money’s worth in the United States. You can credibly claim the first WTC attacks as their single real success, iif there really is a network of Saudi funders hoping to inspire American Muslims to commit terrorism in the United States.<!--%kramer-post%-->
