Seagull Hit by Pitch in AAA Game

A seagull was hit by a pitch in a weekend game between the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons and the Durham Bulls. The bird was stunned but later flew away.

I’m sorry, but a AAA pitcher who can’t kill a seagull with his fastball is probably not Major League material.

I'm sorry, but you have leapt to a conclusion that any sabremetrician would dispute. We need to consider much more data before making this decision. For example, was the seagull flying left-handed or right-handed? Were there seagulls on base at the time? What was the count? Perhaps the seagull was only trying to - wait for it - fowl off the pitch.
