Republicans should make the Democrats and RINOS filibuster. Then just sit on it and let them stew. The closer the 2006 elections get, the ansier those will become, who decided the American public doesn't need the Patriot act. The MSM will call this a defeat for Bush but it will make great commercials to run against Democrats and RINOs in 2006.

I wonder just who will the Democrats and renegade Republicans who voted this down, blame for the next 9/11. You can be sure that they will not accept and responsibility for their failure to protect the American public from further terrorists attacks.

Regardless of what you think of the Patriot Act, it's looking more an more like Frist can't run the Senate anymore. Between him, the indicted & soon-to-be-disgraced Delay, and his puppet the under investigation & maybe soon-to-be-indicted Blunt, one wonders who's left to run the GOP side of the aisle these days...
