Stories I Don’t Care About
Perhaps it’s just because I’m still feeling rather lousy, but I simply can’t work up any excitement over the fact that three CBS execs are hiring lawyers rather than resigning. According to Memeorandum, nine other bloggers cared enough to comment on the story, so it must be more important than I think.
The Jeff Gannon/James Dale Guckert story and its counterpart, the Russell Mokhiber saga, simply don’t do it for me either, nude gay Internet porn notwithstanding. If bloggers I’ve never heard of can get press credentials to cover the presidential nominating conventions, why shouldn’t ideological nerdnics get to ask Scott McClellan some questions?

I guess the larger question in my mind is, given the Rathergate affair, which apparently is going to be ongoing for the forseeable future, what the beep they figure being an 'official newsman' brings to the table.
So they are going to fight their firing? Gee, what a shame.
