"Goodness knows the United States is no stranger to racially charged rioting. But the scope and intensity of what's going on in France is beyond anything we've seen here in my lifetime." Really ? When were you born ? Because the LA riots caused much more human and material damages. Here we had "only" 2 death, in LA I heard it was more than 50 !

Such is the way with all elitist claptrap. Lovingly crafted to sound good at conferences and to look good on paper, but not worth a damn when societal norms break down. Did the bloated EU constitution anywhere mention "insure domestic Tranquility?" Prob'ly not... Buckley's dictum about being governed by the first 100 names in the phone book, as opposed to being governed by academic elites, looks more insightful all the time.
