THE AMERICAN CENTURIES
I’m with Jeff Jarvis on this one: Europe’s heyday is behind them. The United States isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
The irony of our reversal on the steel tariffs being interpreted as a sign of our decline is quite amusing. It’s the United States that has dragged the world kicking and screaming into free trade. And, aside from workers in an industry here and there for short periods of time, it is we who benefit the most from it given our size and productivity.
