The Case for Circumcision

Some presumably unintentional humor in William Saletan’s Slate piece on the benefits of circumcision as a prophylactic against HIV and other STDs:
It lasts forever. In the parlance of AIDS doctors, it’s a “one-off intervention.”
In more ways than one.

Funny, but the southern Africans don't look Jewish.
Any time you can get men to line up and plead to have a sharp instrument applied to their genitals, you either are at an S&M convention or you have something much worse than a snip on the willie motivating the men.
That's cutting it down to one sentence...

Now I'm recollecting some of the over-the-top ad copy that used to be put out on the airwaves, to convince everyone that some new product nobody ever heard of, let alone wanted, was the biggest thing since fire.
