The New Blogfather?
An otherwise interesting Salon feature discussing the tension between the Armstrong-Kos “netroots” and the Democratic Establishment, “The Blogfather,” begins:
Jerome Armstrong, aka “The Blogfather,” . . .
When did Armstrong get this title? I always thought it was Glenn Reynolds? Wired thought so, too, in a February 2004 piece. (There’s a 2005 Alternet article wherein Markos “Kos” Moulistas Zuniga credits Armstrong as his blogfather, but that’s a wholly different thing.)

According to the Glenn Harlan Roberts er, Reynolds, story, the title belongs to Joanne Jacobs. Snerk.
I think it's less of a genitor thing and more of a Tony Soprano thing.
I think its a cocooning thing.
Ok, am I less of a blogger if I admit that I don't know who Jerome Armstrong is?
Neil Armstrong I've got.
Ditto Lance.
I even knew a Bill Armstrong in High School, yet Jerome ain't ringin' no bells.
He founded myDD, which is a pretty huge democratic blog. I used to read it a lot more.
