Amanda Marcotte and Matthew Yglesias attempt to figure out whether the theme of “Fight Club” was to “cast the individual vs. conformist society not as a men vs. women thing but, more realistically, men vs. the corporate conformist machine” or “a rare explicitly anti-individualist work.” Philosophy ensues in the comments.
