 Outside the Beltway

THEY’RE BAAACK

I thought they had cancelled these idiotic ads. Apparently not. I just saw one while watching Fox Special Report.

They’ve finally addressed the most obvious counter-argument: Why don’t we just change the stupid laws? The answer is the most insipid slippery slope argument ever advanced in human history: That would put drugs on the playgrounds and the mini-marts.

Right. As if they aren’t already on the playgrounds? As if anyone is advocating making heroin for sale to minors, who aren’t even allowed to buy beer? How dumb do these morons think we are? And why is my tax money going to pay for this idiocy?

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia.

They have drugs at the mini-mart? Why didn't somebody tell me. I've been driving my SUV all the way to the processed food supermarket, and all this time I could have been leaving a smaller earth footprint.
