Strategic Overview Revisited

TigerHawk has revised and extended a famous Steven Den Beste post from July 2003 detailing the nature of the Islamist enemy and how the Iraq War fit into the picture. Den Beste pronounces it “Nicely done” and “substantially correct overall.”

Den Beste was famous for being un-bloggerly in length and TigerHawk’s version is even longer, making it a challenge for those with short attention spans. Still, a solid effort well-linked with supporting documentation and well worth at look.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. I took one look at it ... and was reminded of commments SDB made in the last couple of weeks, about concision (as relates to his work/words).

Something that others in the past had reminded him was lacking. It's all I could think of when I looked at the TigerHawk post. Don't know if I have the attention span?
