Sorry I couldn't resist the opportunity.

Obama has benefited from being a "blank slate" candidate that people could project their desires onto. The longer the intramural contest goes on, the more gets written on that blank slate.

But if you will notice, the GOP attacks on Obama have been limited. One can conclude that there is limited material for attack (e.g. the Clinton kindergarten essay attack) or that they are keeping their powder dry so the attacks are fresh for the general election. From what I have seen of Obama's past positions, I suspect the later. Unfortunately, while there is a lot that can be used against Obama by McCain, this isn't stuff Clinton can throw against a fellow liberal.

But as the intramural tussle goes on, both candidates are taking positions on Iraq, NAFTA and the like that will please the democratic primary voters, but turn of the general election voters.

I wonder what tricks Hillary and company are planning for the week just prior to the PA primary?

Could it be they will launch their second kitchen sink attack just in time to sway the undecided voters? Will they come up with clever tricks and half truths to trick us? And then after the primary, we find out that her campaign was basically lying.
