Howie Kurtz has a long, interesting profile of Tony Snow, President Bush’s newly appointed press secretary. It’s pretty flattering, with Snow getting praised for his simple decency by everyone from old high school chums to Democratic shill Bob Beckel.
What’s interesting is that Snow continually gets hired for rather high profile jobs sufficiently outside the scope of his previous experience that he always has a steep learning curve. From journalist to speechwriter to columnist to television host to press secretary is an unusual path, indeed.

If a woman whose friends praise her for her "simple decency" takes money for having sex with strangers, she is a whore.
Once Tony Snow decided to take the money, he became one also.
