		<description>Well, if you have pre-existing service, it won&#039;t be much of a problem.  The problems is if your service goes out or if you&#039;re ordering new service.  

Back in summer 2000, during that strike, I was moving and needed to call about moving my phone number.  When I asked the woman when I should expect service at my new home, she replied December.  I kid you not.  I nearly fell over.  Happy ending to the story is that I *only* had to wait two weeks as the strike ended the day after I called.</description>
