Walter Reed General Loses His Command

Maj. Gen. George W. Weightman, the commanding general of Walter Reed hospital (and, indeed, the entire North Atlantic Regional Medical Command), has been relieved of his command.
He had to see that one coming.

Since he had only been there 6 months (Aug 24), I did some checking and found his predecessor retired.
Weightman replaces Maj. Gen. Kenneth L. Farmer Jr., who is retiring after more than 33 years of military service.
Farmer has commanded the NARMC and WRAMC since June 24, 2004.
It looks like Maj Gen Weightman did a tour as an infantry officer before going to medical school.
I think there is going to more to this story, not just Weightman.
If I understand the story correctly, the General was only on the job six months. Sounds like he inherited the problem, not created it.
Well we know one thing for sure, the Bush admin is all about the troops...
I’m sure congress won’t accept any of the blame since there is a real good chance financing was a good part of it.
Congress always wants everything to be perfect in the military but never want to put the money into it to accomplish it.
