Yeah, Jim, but it had a decent arrangement, harmonies and chord structure. And the lyrics were a little more interesting than "But if you just believe, there's no way we can fall," and slightly more subtle than "We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving."

USA for Africa still gets on my nerves, 20 years later.

It was not a response to famine in Ethiopia. It was ham-handed effort by a bunch of spoiled brats who had gotten shown up by the Brits and their "Do They Know It's Christmas," which is a vastly superior song, and actually was a response borne out of concern for the African people.

"We are the World" -- I know they think they are.
