Those were the opening words to Paul “Jerry” Bremer’s announcement and also the headline of Rob “Acidman” Smith’s post at 5:23 AM. Great minds think alike, I guess.
If the reaction of the Iraqis at the press conference is any indication–think an Arabic version of the Arsenio Hall audience–there’s going to be a lot of partying in the streets.
And the video of a disheveled Saddam being given a medical exam was a brilliant stroke. A picture was indeed worth a thousand words in this case.
