Who Do Those Senators Think They Are, Union Presidents?

SEIU President Andy Stern calls Senators who don’t do his bidding “terrorists”:
“There are a lot of terrorists in the Senate who think we are supposed to negotiate with them when they have their particular needs that they want met.” Stern also said today that union members would lose their enthusiasm to help re-elect Democrats to Congress in the November mid-term elections if lawmakers don’t deliver on stalled health-care and labor law agendas. Union members would be likely to focus their campaign energy on state governor races, he said.
Stern criticized Senators Joe Lieberman, a Connecticut independent, and Ben Nelson, a Nebraska Democrat, who have stalled legislative action with their objections.
“There are a lot of terrorists in the Senate who think we are supposed to negotiate with them when they have their particular needs that they want met,” Stern said.
This is rich coming from the guy who negotiated a backroom deal to get a special carve-out for his “particular needs.”

This guy should be careful. Next year there may be a whole bunch of Republicans running the house and Senate. They might panel investigating committtees interesting in the activities of Mr. Andy Stern. Real political leaders are not afraid of people like Stern. He will not be he first Union boss to spend time in federal prison.
If we're going to stoop to Stern's level I could call Oregon SEIU members terrorists since they hold children's education hostage whenever negotiating contracts or pushing tax increases. Though not the teachers union it is typically the first thing they mention when budget cuts are a possibility.
Public employee unions are long overdue for their smack down. Over paid, under worked, and bankrupting America.
Just want to clarify something--when the insurance industry killed the public option, was that a special carveout and a backroom deal? Or just democracy in action?
Steve, how did the insurance industry kill anything in congress? Do they have votes. I guess you did not notice the percentage of Americans who do not want government controlled health care. You want a single payer plan, move to Cuba. Or get a job and pay for your own.
