YES FREE LUNCH, II

Robert Prather has another take on the “free breakfast” program in NYC. It turns out, too, that he was apparently an early adherent to the Atkins Diet:

For the record, up until around age seven or eight I would have qualified as poor. My brother and I didn’t notice. We thought we were privileged to get to eat boiled hot dogs, no buns that I remember, every single night.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and infant daughter.
