No matter the specific issue, yes, ‘Congress’ is synonymous with ‘congregation of a**holes’. You can add ‘venal’, ‘pandering’, ‘mendacious, or any of a wide array of adjectives to that statement and it will still be true.
Were a meteorite to come down and flatten the Capitol, I’d start collecting funds to build a monument to the meteorite.’
