BORING BLOGS AND OTHER STUFF

Hey, read this guy’s blog; it is really boring. And this guy is trying to climb the TTLB Ecosystem by turning his site orange. Fortunately for him, he’s neither a lefty nor a girl.

Speaking of climbing the Ecosystem, Jay Solo is trying his best. Or, at least as hard as can be expected for someone using a crappy free site from blogspot and a generic template.

Yeah, I figured it would be counterproductive to move in the middle of the race even if I were equipped to do so yet. Oh well.

This post of yours inspired me to write about the confusing etiquette of blogrolling. Either I don’t get it, or maybe no one wants to link to someone on BlogSpot?

    Heh. Two things:

    1. The TTLB Ecosystem counts both blogrolls (i.e., “permanent” links) and links to individual posts (so-called “permalinks”). Blogspot is notoriously bad at producing the latter, meaning a lot of folks don’t bother linking.

    2. There are a lot of us reluctant to link sites on blogspot because they are notoriously balky. You just can’t access them a lot of the time and they are damned slow most of the rest of the time. I still have blogspot sites on my roll and link to them occasionally; but you definitely put yourself at a disadvantage if you’re on blogspot and you want to become a “big-time” blog.
