Chavez Finally Comes Home

Via the BBC:  Hugo Chavez returns to Venezuela after Cuba cancer care.

And how did he announce it?

Mr Chavez announced his return to Venezuela to his 3.9 million Twitter followers in a series of tweets that were bombastic in tone but short on detail.

"We have arrived back in the land of Venezuela. Thank you Lord!! Thanks to my beloved people!! We will continue our treatment here."

But, of course:

There was no information about when or why he returned, and no details about whether he would actively take up the duties of office.

And there are these little details:

He is yet to be sworn in for his new term, and doubts remain about whether his health will allow him to return to active politics.

So in other words, Raul said “No.” to Chavez’s repeated attempts to annex Cuba to Venezuela.

This time, no declaration that he is cancer-free. I guess he figured that could only work a couple of times before people start rolling their eyes.

Uhhh, no. And if you can’t tell the difference Jenos, I suggest you go back to the history books.

@OzarkHillbilly: Ozark, don’t you know history and facts have a liberal bias and therefore he can ignore them?

@OzarkHillbilly: That was an old SNL reference. Would it be clearer if I said it was a “Weekend At Bernie’s” vibe?
