Cindy Sheehan: “I Am A 9/11 Truther”
During the Bush Administration when she was the darling of the anti-war movement, there was seemed to be something just a little bit off about Cindy Sheehan. However, her status as the mother of a dead soldier provided her with a shroud of moral credibility that made any criticism of her seem unfair, even when it was accurate.
Well, I think we can stop cutting Cindy any breaks now after this speech she gave on the 9th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks:
“I am a 9/11 truther”, Sheehan said. “I do believe it was an inside job.”
She continued, “We just don’t know – I don’t know – how far inside it went. But, you know, I’m sure Dick Cheney had something to do with it.” Her statements were met with a standing ovation from the crowd.
She also claimed that Barack Obama is doing everything he can to “protect the criminals of the Bush regime.”

She’s nuts about the inside job. But she’s right about the administration doing virtually nothing to prosecute the crimes conducted under the previous administration. One example: the amount of times they’ve used the “State Secrets” BS. Or the fact that there is a 40 second delay at the Guantanamo trials which appears to be used to prevent us from hearing the prisoners talking about being tortured.
That’s not a shocker. She’d been getting more and more extreme and “out-there” even before she more or less faded into total obscurity.
