CLARK PRAISES BUSH?

Matt Drudge has dredged up some two-year-old quotes of Wes Clark praising the Bush team.

During extended remarks delivered at the Pulaski County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 11, 2001, General Clark declared: “And I’m very glad we’ve got the great team in office, men like Colin Powell, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice… people I know very well – our president George W. Bush. We need them there.”

He goes on to praise Ronald Reagan and George Bush the Elder.

Fairly amusing, although I’m not sure what it proves. It’s conceivable that Clark honestly thought Reagan and Bush 41 were good presidents, thought the Bush 43 team would do well, and decided differently after seeing them in action. Of course, it’s also possible that he was telling the crowd what they wanted to hear then and now, making him a lying weasel. But the first explanation seems reasonable unless we find similar quotes from after the Bush team had been in office more than three months.

(from the link) A video of Clark making the comments has surfaced, DRUDGE can reveal.

    He just got un-nominated.

Shame too, that would have made a hell of a political commercial.
