COULTERGEIST

Kevin reports that Ann Coulter will have a new blog on Human Events beginning Monday and advises liberals to ignore it. Amusingly, I had no idea that she was starting a blog and I suspect Kevin’s mention will actually lead to increased traffic. I suspect she won’t make the blogroll.

Lol! I just found out about Ann’s blog the same way–from a post in a blog that urged everyone to ignore it. The funny thing is that this wasn’t even a political web log, so now people who had no idea about it before but may be Coulter fans now know to look for it on Monday.

Yeah, James, explain why you are down on Coulter. She is shrill and not a real deep intellect, but she is really, really hot… and that’s o.k. by me. Consider that the opposite side has Barbra Streisand and Janeane Garafologopous. Eeewww!

John and Jay: Search the archives for Coulter. :)

Steven: Yep. I guess the internal spell checker overrode the cutesy spelling.

“[Ann Coulter] continues to spew forth semi-Fascist rants in the post-9/11 world. She’s clever and not bad to look at, but it gets awfully tiresome when she continues to accuse anyone who disagrees with the Bush Administration of treason. This hardly seems a good way to persuade those who disagree.”

Yes, but when I’m reading her columns I’m really not thinking about her argument (or lack thereof). You know, there are other means of persuasion. …and Barbra Streisand and Janeane Garofologopous don’t have those means! ;-)

“Kind of sad, actually, the degree to which she defines herself by what she dislikes.”

I lifted that of of Calpundit’s comment section. I think that reader just described the current Democratic party.

Is it supposed to be hip now to slam ole’ Ann now in an effort to say “look we hate her too, so we MUST be reasonable”. She writes what many out there think. Sure she can be shrill sometimes but mostly she is a good read.

I stopped even reading Calpundit because their typical poster seems like they just blew in from Indymedia. NO dissent allowed!

John: Yeah–but she’s only got that little headshot atop her column. The trade-off aint’ worth it!

Jimbo: I usually ignore the comment section on leftie blogs. But Kevin himself is worth reading.

Coulter argues with polemics. Some people have a real hard time figuring out the difference between the literal and the metaphorical. Those people hate Coulter. Others, like me, think she is insightful and funny.
