DEMOCRATIZATION OF IRAQ

MSNBC reports a major step forward:

Mobile phone roaming services were mysteriously available in Baghdad on Tuesday, bringing cellular service–banned under Saddam Hussein–to ordinary people in the Iraqi capital for the first time.

When they start passing laws banning them on the roads, we’ll know they’ve really arrived.
