Duke Prosecutor Nifong Faces More Charges

Difficulties continue to mount for former Duke rape case prosecutor Mike Nifong, who faces additional ethics charges.

The state bar has added ethics charges to a complaint filed against the prosecutor who brought sexual assault charges against three Duke lacrosse players, accusing him of withholding DNA evidence and making misleading statements to the court. The new charges by the North Carolina State Bar against Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong were announced Wednesday and could lead to his removal from the state bar, according to a copy of the updated complaint.

Oddly, however, all charges have not been dismissed against the Duke lacrosse team.

maybe justice will be served. hopefully this is the first of many misconduct charges to be leveled against nifong. hopefully Durham and the State of NC is sving up to pay restitution to the boys whose lives they’ve allowed to be destroyed.

Nifong has ruined the lives of three young men, caused deep emotional distress in the families, and cost them a fortune.
With the help of the on-campus lefties, he has hurt the reputation of Duke. Once known as a great academic institution with a great basketball program, it has become a campus of screaming ninnies with declining enrollment applications and probably declining contributions.
Too many bad players here, at the DA’s office, the police investigative agency, and at Duke University. Nifong should be barred and punished.
The three young men should not give in but take this to its conclusion. I hope they sue Nifong and Duke and are justly compensated.
