    This is all well and good…but neither the world economy nor our national economy is ever going to get better unless congress ties disaster aid to politically motivated budget cuts.
    On a far less sarcastic note…I wish someone would work out a 50% write-down of my debt.

    Heh. the headline of the last two weeks, in financial circles.

    FWIW, I think the most interesting thing is the lack of integration between US political-economic stores (which are all written as if our policies determine our future) and business-economic stories (which have been centered on Europe, and the affect of their policies on our future.)
