Even Palin’s Supporters Don’t Want Her To Be President
Despite the fact that a majority of Americans apparently agree with Sarah Palin on issues like the size of government, even her most fervent supporters don’t seem too eager to see her sitting behind the Resolute Desk:
Sarah Palin is the most personally popular of the Republicans, with 66% viewing her favorably. She is followed by Huckabee at 60% and Gingrich and Romney at 57%.
The problem for Palin is that a smaller percentage of the people who like her personally support her for President than any of the other Republicans. 37% of the voters who like Romney also say he’s their choice for the 2012 nomination and the same is true for 32% who like Gingrich and Huckabee. But just 24% who see Palin positively on a personal level translate that to intent to vote for her.
As I have been saying repeatedly since the end of the 2008 election, with number like these there’s just no way Sarah Palin will ever be President.
Take that one to the bank.
I think that’s right. Indeed, I’m pretty sure she’ll never be the Republican nominee.
She’s filling a role nicely at present. Being a lightning rod for intemperate attacks by the Left is where she excels.
Sarah Palin does well on the sidelines. I’d even agree with her recent statement in Iowa that she is best suited to direct other politicians where to go … brings the ‘teachers teach because they cannot do’ saying to mind. Even though I think that’s hugely unfair to teachers — for her, i think she’s already shown that’s accurate.
I’m middle of the road in my views and politics, but she strikes me as a vindictive troglodyte (as in a person unacquainted with affairs of the world), frankly speaking. I would LOVE to see the circus if she were ever the nominee however.

Well, Rasmussen has 26% of Americans thinking Palin is qualified to be president, but Republicans are equally divided on the question. So she probably would pass that filter for the nomination. And as for the campaign, who amongst the other candidates do you think could effectively stand up to her when the going gets rough? Who has the excited motivated troops?
In November of 1942 the Germans were at the gates of Stalingrad. By November of 1944 the Russians were outside Warsaw. A lot can change in two years, and a lot of people could change their minds.
Call nothing inconceivable when it’s something you’d rather not contemplate.
So is Palin the Nazis or the Stalinists?
I knew who wrote this tripe before I read the by line. Anytime there is a negative headline, Lefty Metaconis is on it. Who gives a big fat rats arse? The 15 people who read your blog? You are going to be one big target for criticizm come November. I know you fancy yourself to be an itellectual. I do not know where you got that idea. You have a bit of education, but that surely does not make you an intellectual. It appears to me you have little intellectual honesty, that, judging by your response to criticizm of your posts. Palin has never attack intellectual accomplishment. She has attack dishonesty. Honest people will see your distain for her as a plus in her column. I do not know your politics, but it is far, far left of center.
Whatever Zels, continue in your worship of Miss Wasilla, the woman who quit her job halfway through.
