George Will: Everyone Knows That Sarah Palin Should Not Be Trusted With Nukes
Ouch:
“The threshold question, not usually asked, but it’s in everyone’s mind in a presidential election. ‘Should we give this person nuclear weapons?’ And the answer [in Palin’s case], answers itself.”
H/T: Mediaite
Really?
We can’t be sure of “The Pallin” question where nukes are concerned?
But Barry, who spent half of his senate “career” campaigning for the White House on his previous incarnation as a Political Grievance Advocate (ok, Community Organizer, whatever). And prior to that glorious nationally important experience, slogged along as one of the most inconsequential and insignificant politicians to ever sit in Springfield.
And that’s saying something.
Yes, oh yes. He, above all men, with his innate intellect and preparation for the world stage in the streets of Chicago and the pews of the Rev. Jeremiah, was sincerely prepared to carry the burden.
You people ought to get a life.
So, so proud of “My Night with Sarah Palin”
Read about it here: http://www.fictionaut.com/stories/joe-tripician/my-night-with-sarah-palin
Yup. Burns ya up, don’t it?
You talkin’ to a majority of the American people. Maybe you ought to wake up….
There are elitists in all political parties and Mr. Will is obviously one of them.
Actually Culvahouse, who had been white house counsel in the Reagan administration, considered her answer in this regard, a threshhold question in her vetting,
Tano, you write/speak like a moron. Get a dictionary.
Scullman (sic),
I was just trying to communicate on your level…
Its “Palin” – one L
Actually, he was a community organizer prior to being a state senator.
Why not trust her? She can’t be any worse than other presidents.

Awwww…Palin fanboys are so adoreable when they’re mad…
Aren’t Obama girls so adorable when they are putting labels on others.
Another Establishment Republican is all worried about a conservative coming to the fore.
This is news?
Sorry, Grand Dragon Southern Hoosier, but you are incorrect in two different ways with your comment…
Interesting link, Joe. I see you’re right there with michael reynolds in that your first response to Sarah Palin is to sexualize her, reduce her to nothing but her gender. Kind of like Andrew Sullivan, now that I think of it…
Don’t you wish this site’s filters just let you and michael say what you are just dying to say, and call her the c-word?
J.
“Don’t you wish this site’s filters just let you and michael say what you are just dying to say, and call her the c-word?”
Well, hell, I’l do it: Sarah Palin is a cretin.
Palin is totally inexperienced with bombs.
Obama, on the other hand, has had the benefit of being closely associated with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn as friends, neighbors, coauthors, supporters and experienced bomb makers.
An Obama boy?
Excellent couple of catches there, Tano.
Thought the DNC Headquarters was closed on account of Memorial Day. Nice work.
The fact be remain’n though, and you probably be wantin’ to argue ’bout it.
With his credentials, if Barry were white, he’d still be in the Illinois State House arguing highway off-ramp speeds.
jwest; Gotta steal that line. Excellent. LOL
More like still surfing in Hawaii.
Eric,
George Will did not much like George Bush either and yet a lot of Palin supporters say the Bushes are elitists.
Palin’s problem is not with establishment Republicans it is with voters who have doubts about her..and just calling everyone who has those doubts elitist will not do one thing to enhance Palin’s standing with the American people.
One thing I have noticed about a lot of Palin’s supporters, they have no problem using the same tactics they accuse the media of using against her. No doubt the media has been unfair to Palin, they are after all partisan and biased. I think most people know that. However, I have been on enough comment threads to see Palin’s people attacking virtually every other candidate or possible candidate as either a RINO or an elitist or some other slur that has nothing to do with anything but being nasty.
No, most people do NOT understand how thoroughly the media worked on destroying Palin. I have many friends and acquaintances who repeat to me every slur they’ve heard against Palin and tell me they are PALIN QUOTES! They repeat the same accusations against Palin as if they are all true. Most have no idea why she quit the governorship and have no idea that none of the many false lawsuits against her ever was proved to be true.
In other words, the smear campaign against her worked and worked very well. It WAS and to this day is aided and abetted by the Republican establishment, who fear her as much as do the Democrats, because she will not play by their rules.
I’m not arguing whether she is Presidential material or not, if she would be good or not, so please do not label me a Palinista. I see good and bad about her, but the fact that she has been smeared in such a disgusting manner..and to me, George Will’s statement is in the category of just plain stupid and hateful…yes, like we should trust Obama, a committed Leftist who sat through 2 decades of Jeremiah Wright’s invective against this country and then proceeded to lie about it…and the MSM went along with the lies…the smears against Palin are just sickening, the whole process where she was the anti-Obama in the sense that O could do no wrong, could utter nothing stupid (57 states, Teutonic shift, Austrians speaking Austrian etc etc etc) while she had and would never do anything write…the Alinskyite model writ large….SICKENING.
Terreye,
As I’ve watched other threads on this site descend into arguments basically filled with vitriol and ad hominems, it struck me that while you and I pretty much always disagree on everything about both local and national politics, you have almost always kept your arguments calm and reasonable. It’s refreshing to see compared to jwest, Southern Hoosier, et al (and I’m sure you can insert whatever liberal commentators you want).
-Neil
I hear this a lot. Could someone show me a few major examples of “the MSM” stating falsehoods about Palin?
I have asked this before, but I never get an answer.
Speaking of things being “proved,” could you show me some proof of what she supposedly spent to defend herself from those lawsuits? That’s something else I hear a lot about, but I never see any proof.
On the other hand, I have seen proof of her track record as a proven liar (link, link).
So hopefully you can help fill these gaps in my knowledge.
::head hits desk::
cant believe i read all the way up to that
Just to point out a piece of anecdata because it’s worth reinforcing:
My wife, who has voted Republican in every presidential election since she was allowed to vote, and has never voted for any Democrat for any office, has declared pretty fervently that she will not vote for Sarah Palin under any circumstances and could even vote for Barack Obama.
Palin has liabilities that other Republicans – including other conservative Republicans – simply don’t.
Can George Will be trusted out of his padded cell?
Very similar to what David Brooks said on MTP Sunday:
