Haliburton’s War

The Big Trunk has a screen capture of what is purported to be a John Kerry ad on Salon.com.

The rotating billboards reads: “For the 1st time in history a corporation was allowed to invade a nation. No wonder the UN wasn’t involved. It’s time to UNSEAT George W. Bush.”

The ad isn’t running on the main page or any of the main section pages (News & Politics, Opinion, etc.) at the time of this posting and most of the rest of the site is pay-per-view. My guess–and certainly my hope–is that this is either a hoax altogether or an actual ad run by an outside group without Kerry’s approval.

I would hope Kerry would not be this dumb, either. After all, didn’t Bin Laden claim the same thing in his “tape” the other day?

You know, I’d really like this to be untrue, if only if because I’m going to absolutely hate having to reverse my position before even 24 hours have passed.

I saw this ad being talked about on TV last night…..forget which talking head show it was.

They seemed to think it was an actual Kerry ad.

  4. I just spent the last little while clicking links at Salon. I probably clicked into a hundred or more pages and did NOT see the ad anywhere. In fact, I don’t think I even saw an obviously political ad on the site.
