Hillary’s Horse Finishes 2nd, Collapses, Put Down

Sad and surreal: Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton told an Indiana crowd, “I hope that everybody will go to the [Kentucky] derby on Saturday and place just a little money on the filly for me. I won’t be able to be there this year — my daughter is going to be there and so she has strict instructions to bet on Eight Belles.”

Eight Belles finished second. Then, tragically, collapsed immediately after crossing the finish line, breaking two ankles. She had to be euthanized.

There’s some symbolism in there, somewhere.

I’d call it more an omen, myself.

    Sad, though.

Is it just me or is this happening more frequnetly the last decade, or so?

Pretty classy of you to score a political point with the tragic death of a magnificent race horse.

I love animals.. Got dogs…got cats…got me some poultry running about on my four acres.

Don’t think much of people, especially politicians who try to equate themselves with the purity and virtues of dumb animals…Animals are real.. most politicians are as phony as a three-dollar bill. Politicians pale in their insignificance.
