IS OBESITY A DISEASE?

Rosemary Esmay argues that it should be looked at in the same light as cirrhosis, AIDS, STDs, addiction, lung cancer, heart disease, hepatitis, and other behavior driven illnesses. An interesting discussion is ensuing in the comments section, with some of my own thoughts included in the mix.

    If it’s to be considered a disease, then we need legislation putting child-proof locks on Twinkies and requiring a background check before you can buy them.
