Kucinich on Fox

Via BuzzFeed:

Dennis Kucinich’s unlikely next act will be as a paid Fox News contributor, but he says it’s "almost silly" to think that he’ll be a kind of token.

"I’m way past that in my life and career," Kucinich said in a phone interview with BuzzFeed on Wednesday. "That’s almost silly."

I don’t think that FNC wants Kucinich to be the token liberal, I think they want him to be the representation of the wacky liberal that many FNC commentator’s think is the whole of the Democratic Party.  And regardless of what one thinks of Kucinich, he is not a representative member of the Democratic Party nor of liberal America.  In other words, I predict he will not be treated as an alternative voice as much as he will be treated as that whacky Dennis!

Beyond that, it is fair to say that he is far more interesting than your typical pol, regardless of the given pol’s ideological predilection.  On that score, he is logical choice for a cable news channel.

    Exactly.

He’s a patsy. The only liberals Fox ever hires are patsies.

So he’ll play the fool. Everyone will be laughing themselves silly while he tells the truth. Again, we learned nothing from this last election.

At least now Bashir Assad will have an advocate on Fox News.

Ugh, Dennis, how could you? What a sell out.
