Missing The Lede: House Of Commons Edition

From the United Kingdom:

LONDON, March 15 (UPI) – Eric Joyce, a member of the British Parliament who resigned after a barroom brawl last year, was arrested Thursday night in a House of Commons bar.

Police announced the arrest only of a 50-year-old man, The Daily Telegraph reported. But Tony Grew of the website PoliticsHome told the Telegraph he and about 50 other people witnessed the incident at the Sports and Social Club at about 10:30 p.m.

There are bars in Parliament.

Maybe if we did that in Congress business would flow more smoothly.

Thought that was the purpose of the House and Senate Cloakrooms where they had meetings with Messers Walker, Daniels, Royal, Bombay, Bacardi, etc.

Methinks one can add Congress to the list of things that don’t mix well with booze, right up there with guns. I think Michael is on to something tho.
