“Mosque” Being Protested In Arizona Actually A Church
Sometimes, you just can’t make stuff like this up:
In Phoenix, Arizona, a new Christian church has residents fearing that it is an Islamic mosque.
The Light of the World multidenominational church is being built just off of Interstate 10 and features a dome-like structure.
“Since the distinctive dome shape went up, church leaders said they have received phone calls from concerned neighbors who’ve mistaken the building for an Islamic mosque,” KPHO reported.
“I heard many people, they came over and they say, ‘Is this a Muslim temple?’ No, it’s not,” church member Juan Calixto told KPNX.
Sigh.
“What did you expect? “Welcome, sonny”? “Make yourself at home”? “Marry my daughter”? You’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons.”

Uh oh. Better not tell them about St. Peter’s Basilica….
I’m glad to see that the people building the church stood up for the rights of Muslims … wait, they called the mistaken belief that they were building a mosque “malicious rumors”? Nevermind.
Decent Americans know that it’s not only aggressive and anti-American to BE Muslim, or build a Terra Mosk or something.
It’s also un-American and aggressive to be or do anything that a Real ‘Murkin could mistake for being related to Muslim Terrah.
Hence, the following things should be condemned as un-American:
1. Sikhs, or members of any other group who wear headgear that cannot immediately be identified as a ball-cap at 100 paces [Note: I am willing to remove Sikhs from the list on a probationary basis if they are willing to be less brown and to emblazon CAT DIESEL on their turbans in letters at least fourteen (14) inches high];
2. Any element of architecture that cannot be found on an Arby’s franchise,
3. “Arabic numerals.” Do you know that the Obama Administration relies on Arabic numerals to calculate security and military issues? What are we coming to?
Now now, this isn’t anti-muslim sentiment. Arizona is just so close to ground zero that building a mosque there would be a deliberate insult to the people who died on 9/11.
It stabs hearts!
