Doug Mataconis held a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University and J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. He joined the staff of OTB in May 2010 and contributed a staggering 16,483 posts before his retirement in January 2020. He passed far too young in July 2021.

Post headlines were the only thing I liked about living in the NYC metro area.

I should NOT have had a mouthful of vodka martini when I read that.
Who could have guessed that the ad by MoveOn.org about “General Betray Us” (well, his wife anyway) was so prescient…

I suspect that the writer put on his sunglasses when he wrote that headline, then the show cut quickly to a picture of the Miami skyline.
