OLD ADOLESCENTS

Reacting to a post on OTB this morning, Mark Hasty ruminates on the expansion of childhood and postponement of marriage. While this trend has has lots of consequences–many good–for the society as a whole, Mark notes that it is a huge problem for adherents to Christianity, which demands sexual abstinance until marriage.

    It’s why Christians get married so young. All of my friends from college (I went to a Christian college) got married while still students or right after graduation.

    With the exception of one couple that I can think of, all are still married.
