About Dodd
Dodd, who used to run a blog named ipse dixit, is an attorney, a veteran of the United States Navy, and a fairly good poker player. He can kill a mime using only his thumb.

I remember being a little disappointed when this came out; Document was of course their breakout album, but it wasn’t jangly like the ones before. I’ve since grown to better appreciate the later albums (especially Automatic For the People), but the soft spot will always be for the early stuff (here’s a live performance, from the day, of 7 Chinese Brothers.)
